In case of illness or injury, call the WellBe Alarm Center, and WellBe will:
If you are located in the District with Resident Medical Support Staff, one of our staff, who work in relays around the clock, will come to the hospital you are in to provide support, including medical interpretation, in time of emergency. (The attendant service for hospitalized persons is not included.) If you are located in the District without Resident Medical Support Staff, we will dispatch our staff from the District with Resident Medical Support Staff depending on the severity of your illness or injury. (Actual transportation and accommodation costs for the dispatch shall be born by you.)
Cashless service will be provided when you have overseas travel insurance or local medical insurance, which WellBe can handle, and your illness or injury is covered by the insurance.
Some overseas hospitals require you to pay a deposit in advance and if you fail to do so, you might not be able to receive adequate initial treatment. Call the WellBe Alarm Center first, and you will promptly receive required treatment (limited to WellBe's Affiliated Hospitals).
For those who are admitted due to severe illness or injury, we may submit a report of medical condition to your company accordingly in a timely manner. ※Please note that we need to obtain consent from the patient or the family member.
If your employee dies abroad, we can provide the following arrangements:
We will guide you through the consultation in other hospitals (specialist hospital, etc) in local community.
In case there is time before an operation or in case you would like to seek opinion from Japanese doctors for a long-term treatment plan, we will introduce and arrange physician specialists in Japan to render a second opinion. (in the local country)
